Solar system

small logo

As we know, solar system consist of the Sun, planets and their satellite.

But other members are also there in our solar system, that people generally don't know.

They are : Asteroid belt, Cuiper belt and Cloud of Oort.

Planets are devided into 2 groups : Internal Planetsand External Planets.

Internal Planets :

Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars are Internal planets. They are made of rocky surface. This table shows you their properties....

External Planets :

Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Naptune are External planets. They are made of gas. And They don't have rocky surface. (**Pluto is now not considered as planet, but a member of Cuiper belt, but here for just information, its property is given)

Cuiper belt :

  • It is named on Duch scientist Jeralsde Cuiper.
  • It consist of 75,000 space objects.
  • It starts from 6,000 million km to 75,000 million km to the Sun.
  • Temperature : -200 'C

Cloud of Oort :

  • It is named astronomer Jaan Oort.
  • After Cuiper belt, it is spreaded to 1,50,00,000 million km.
  • It consist of 2,00,000 miollion comets.
